When a telephone conversation is necessary, I have never been rushed nor has there been any indication of too much time being spent by the support staff regarding explanations or instructions. All of my emails are answered within a day and are very detailed, some with photos to further help me understand what actions I have to take. Recently, I have had issues with my Talon. I would like to bring to your attention the excellent support I’ve received from the technical team members of Falcon Northwest. You can buy a great computer anywhere, but you cannot buy the piece of mind you get with Falcon Northwest's support team.įALCON NORTHWEST - EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY When my TLX model was nearing the end of its warranty and had a reoccurring fan issue show up again for the second time, Falcon went out of their way to send a brand new TLX machine, of the current generation parts and chassis, completely free of charge. On all occasions, Falcon did their best to quickly help over email, and when the issue needed the machine to be sent in, they cover overnight shipping both ways and get it back as soon as possible. I have had a few issues with one of mine, a TLX laptop. What makes Falcon truly stand out from the rest of the pack, is their service and commitment to their machines. No bloat-ware at all to worry about like some other builders either. Shipping materials are carefully designed to make sure your machine gets there safe and sound. Rest assured, you will get a machine made from your choice of a good spread of hardware options, and it will look clean and excellently assembled, from the paint, to the cable management, to every screw. Many of them are very talented at what they do, and FalconNorthwest is no different. There are plenty of companies out there making custom built gaming and creative machines. But how will Intel’s fledgling 2021 platform hold up to gaming benchmarks? We’ll answer that question soon enough.ĭisclosure: Falcon Northwest provided review product for coverage purposes. There are plenty of companies out there… but Falcon's got an Ace I will say that if the Falcon Northwest unboxing experience is any indication, we’re definitely in for a wild ride. I don’t want to get too far into the weeds here, as my full review is currently in the works. Props to all teams involved for pushing so hard to make these tech bits available to test, especially during a pandemic that has all but obliterated supply chains. This is a Talon built for the future, and I’m told that ASUS and Crucial got all these cutting edge components delivered to FNW just in time for shipping - seriously down-to-the-wire stuff. That’s not to mention the other nice touches included for unboxing, like a bag of Falcon Fuel coffee, a branded Falcon Northwest mug, a felt Seasonic drawstring bag filled with modular PSU cables, a classy USB rescue drive, a handy mousepad, thorough documentation and a customized metal-etched Forbes badge fixed to the inside of the build.īeyond the meticulous put-togetherness and hotel-grade hospitality of the Talon, we can’t forget perhaps the most notable inclusions: Intel’s brand new 12th Gen Alder Lake Core i9-12900K CPU, an ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-F Gaming WiFi motherboard and a 32GB pair of Crucial’s blazing fast DDR5 memory sticks. Cable management was impeccable, and the whole build just came across as preternaturally neat and clean, to an extent I’ve yet to see in other system integrators’ work. I could feel the quality on this build the moment I took it out of the shipping package - it was dense. I attribute the safe arrival to Falcon Northwest’s excellent packing job, which included a box within a box and plenty of sturdy cushioning around the system itself. That includes the rad custom automotive-grade blue and yellow Intel artwork adorning the chassis. It was as if the rig had materialized, expertly built, right out of thin air. You won’t find any GPU sag here, not on the included and supremely beastly EVGA XC3 GeForce 3090.Īfter setting up everything, I swung open the hinged tempered glass side panel to find all internal components secure, undisturbed and seemingly untouched. Because the Talon allows for GPU mounting on both ends of the card (absolutely brilliant), there wasn’t even the need to use any of that annoying expanding foam during shipping. The contents? One of Falcon Northwest’s solid and well-received Talon mid-tower PC cases, which the company designed and built from the ground up - and continues to iterate on - for tank-like durability and unmatched cooling.
