![]() Thank god, because I don’t think I would have attempted it again if I didn’t! When I finally got back to Shibusawa the second time (Kiryu’s final boss fight), I used my last Staminan X when he was on his final health bar (and was sweating the entire time). I’d use Slugger 99% of the time and go to town with the nunchuku technique. That being said, Majima’s segments were hella easy for me. The gunmen are hands down the worst part about the entire finale–they made me use more health items than any of the bosses did. On my umpteenth try I somehow managed to defeat the gunmen quickly in Brawler using quick combos and dodges to avoid the worst of the attacks. If not for my wife’s encouragement, I may not have actually finished. To say I was frustrated was an understatement. Also, there was no good online advice for me other than “stock up on sacrifice stones,” which was unhelpful because I was already past the point of no return for Kiryu. ![]() It only took two to three pops from either to take me down to zero health: boom boom pow, rinse and repeat maybe ten more times. I kept getting blown away by the three gunmen and grenade guy. I gave it a day before trying again, and for the life of me could not get past the fucking dock scene (the first fight with Kiryu and Nishiki). Frustrating to say the least, but not too shabby. Ironically enough, I got all the way to Shibusawa on my first try, but died because I ran out of healing items. The finale (long fighting sequence) in Chapter 17Īfter chapter 13 it was pretty much smooth sailing for me until the big finale (where you have to switch between fighting as Kiryu and Majima). It took a combination of the Marlin Canon to push them back and Beast style heat actions to kill them quickly.Ģ. I had to do this maybe five more times before I finally defeated all the enemies with Makoto intact. Of course, she dies = you die, and because you can’t just try again, you have to go through the entire car chase scene to pick up where you left off. You have a couple seconds before one will manage to grab her, and if they do, it takes half her health. The real problem was after the car chase when you are tasked with having to protect Makoto from approximately 8-10 guys. All in all, THAT wasn’t even the biggest issue. By the time I finally completed it, I was mostly making headshots without a problem. ![]() Of course, the more I had to redo the sequence, the better I got at it. I should preface this with the fact that I am terrible at first-person shooters. I think it took me approximately ten tries to get through the car chase without dying. Generally speaking, Legend difficulty isn’t that bad, with two major exceptions: All my extra cash I poured into fighting style upgrades and healing items. Since I was doing this purely for the trophy, I rushed through the main storyline and only did a handful of substories. (Spoilers below the cut for my thoughts on Legend difficulty) You have to reload from your last save point if you die You have to start over from scratch, and it can only be unlocked after playing through the entire game once.Įssentially, Legend mode breaks down to this: Fun fact: you can’t do Legend difficulty on new game+. Completing everything in these games is a loooooong grind, simply due to the sheer number of minigames, sidequests, etc.Īnyway, one of the trophies you earn in Yakuza 0 requires you to complete the main story on Legend difficulty. Okay, so it is my mission to platinum Yakuza 0, and eventually every Yakuza game.
